Concatenate

Concatenate is a 2-player strategy game where players take turns placing their cats onto the game board.

The game has the following rules:

• On the player's turn, they must place a cat from their respective cat box (on the left side of the screen) to the main game board (square grid on the right side of the screen).
• Once a cat is placed, it will push all adjacent cats by one tile from the direction of the placed cat. The following restrictions apply:
  • A kitten cannot move an adult cat.
  • A cat does move if there is another cat on the tile it would be moved to.
• If a cat is pushed off of the game board, it is placed back into the respective player's cat box.
• After all cats have been pushed, if three cats of the same color are in a row (vertically, horizontally, or diagonally), these cats will be returned to their cat box and promoted to adult cats.

Winning Condition:

• The player wins the game by lining up three adult cats on the game board.

Developer Notes:

• This is my first "real" game that I've developed in Unity and is a massive work in progress. This initial release is fully playable but almost all artwork and UI is placeholder. Please feel free to leave any comments. Thank you.
